Classes

Regular, weekly classes are held throughout the year in London at La Caseta Flamenca, Streatham and City Lit, Covent Garden.

 

Private classes are also available for individuals and small groups. These can be in a hired studio or in the company's purpose-built studio, Streatham, South London.

 

 

Spring 2026

Flamenco in Studio and Online

 

Mondays to 30 March, then 2 weeks OFF, restart 20 April

 

6:30 - 7:30 Beginners. £10 per class.

7:30 – 9:00 Open Level Class. £15 per class.

 

These dual-delivery classes are ideal for beginners, as well as for experienced students wishing to consolidate & extend their training in fundamental Flamenco dance technique (posture, footwork coordination & speed, arm & wrist moves, markings, turns etc.) AND embark on NEW choreography and fresh performance opportunities.

 

 

Private Classes:

 

1:1 private class are available at La Caseta Flamenca (a fully-equipped south-London Dance & Drama studio with sprung floor and wall mirrors) on Saturday afternoons (other days  & times can be requested). Small private groups also welcome, fee negotiable depending on the number of participants, live guitar accompaniment etc.

Flamenco: Beginners

 

Thursday 23 April to 9 July = 12 sessions over 12 weeks (NO Half Term break).

In this dynamic and friendly class, you will learn fundamental Flamenco dance moves, technique, steps and rhythms accompanied with live flamenco guitar accompaniment. A series of exercises will lead to a short dance sequence, you will develop style, presence and co-ordination. You may have the option to perform the dance in an informal end-of-term showing.

Flamenco: Improvers and Intermediate

 

Thursday 23 April to 9 July = 12 sessions over 12 weeks (NO Half Term break).

A friendly, intensive class, with live guitar accompaniment, that focuses on the confident execution of Flamenco dance with pleasure, passion and panache. Performance opportunities throughout the year. These classes are suitable for those who have taken regular Flamenco dance classes for at least a year.

You will be embodying a variety of Flamenco ‘palos’ (Flamenco ‘forms’), so as to dance with ‘Flamencura’, that magic that happens when strong technical skill combines with authentic personal expression.

A friendly, intensive course that focuses on building confidence and style through exercises and fundamental dance steps. This course is suitable for absolute beginners as well as more experienced students wishing to revise the basics and learn fresh choreographies. Flamenco Choreography

 

Thursday 4 June to 9 July March = 6 sessions.

Discover how Flamenco choreography is crafted, with its distinct sections and corresponding steps and moves. Collaborate in creating a new dance piece, understanding its close connection to the complex rhythmic patterns (the ‘compás’) as well as a more personal relationship to the choreography. Designed for improver and intermediate level students.

Flamenco castanets workshop

 

Sunday 26 July 2026 = 1 session.

This workshop is designed for students with some previous experience of playing castanets and Spanish dance. It offers a rich blend of history, practical technique, musicality, and coordination, focusing on how castanets integrate with Spanish dance movement.  Students will reinforce strong technical foundations, learn new rhythms, and explore fresh Spanish dance choreography. The course emphasizes musical expression and coordination, helping gain confidence and fluency while playing castanets in motion.

Flamenco shawl technique workshop

 

Sunday 26 July 2026 = 1 session.

Ready to add drama, elegance, and flow to your flamenco? With our improver/intermediate workshop you will learn how to swish and swirl the mantón (shawl) with confidence - then seamlessly weave those movements into flamenco dance.  You’ll enjoy an up-beat, supportive class atmosphere with the energy of live guitar accompaniment, making the music, movement, and emotion come alive.
